This art project, inspired by the Chesil Street area of Winchester, is made up of six large panels (3.5x2.5m each) featuring the stories, memories and photographs of local people. The panels have now moved to new locations. Over the course of a three months residency in Chesil Street, Laurence enacted a French artist character to engage residents, businesses, and passers-by in unearthing the memories of the street. Additionally, she visited care homes interviewed elderlies, photographed the street inside and outside, and designed two art projects with young people. The collection and consultation led to the creation of the hoarding panels which were displayed in the street over a year of construction works to enhance the life of the residents.
